Ethics
IJA-CARE Journal Policy
- Editorial Responsibilities
The editor of IJA-CARE is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. In making these decisions, the editor will focus solely on the intellectual quality and significance of the work for the academic community. The editor will follow the guidelines set by the editorial board and must comply with any applicable legal standards regarding plagiarism, copyright violations, or libel.
Fairness in Evaluation:
Manuscripts will be evaluated based on their intellectual content, without considering the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, nationality, or political views of the authors.
Confidentiality:
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and share them only with the corresponding author, reviewers, other editors, or the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:
Editors must not use unpublished materials or ideas from submitted manuscripts in their own research without explicit permission from the author. Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest due to relationships or collaborations with the authors or institutions involved. Authors are expected to disclose any competing interests and to publish corrections if necessary.
Handling Ethical Complaints:
If ethical concerns arise regarding a submitted manuscript or a published paper, the editor should take appropriate steps to investigate, including contacting the author and considering actions like publishing corrections, retractions, or clarifications if needed.
- Author Responsibilities
Reporting Standards:
Authors must provide an accurate record of the research they conducted, including a clear and honest discussion of their findings. The data must be accurately represented in the manuscript, and sufficient references must be included to allow others to replicate the work.
Data Access and Retention:
Authors should be prepared to provide raw data upon request.
Originality and Avoiding Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure their work is original. Proper credit must be given to others’ work when referenced. Plagiarism, including copying, paraphrasing without citation, or using others’ results as one’s own, is strictly prohibited.
Avoiding Multiple Submissions:
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Once submitted to IJA-CARE, a manuscript should not be published elsewhere.
Acknowledging Sources:
All sources that have contributed to the work must be acknowledged. Authors should not use private or confidential information from others without permission.
Authorship:
Only those who have made significant contributions to the study should be listed as authors. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and agree to its submission for publication.
Ethical Considerations with Human:
If the research involves humans, authors must confirm that the study followed ethical guidelines and received approval from relevant authorities. For human studies, informed consent must be obtained.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or other potential conflicts of interest that could affect their research. The funding sources for the study should also be clearly mentioned.
Correcting Published Work:
If an author discovers an error or inaccuracy in a published paper, they must promptly inform the editor and cooperate with corrections or retractions as necessary.
- Publisher Responsibilities:
IJA-CARE's publisher, Tanaya Publication, takes ethical publishing seriously. We ensure that commercial interests, such as advertisements or reprints, do not influence editorial decisions. We will collaborate with other journals or publishers when necessary to uphold ethical publishing standards and transparency.
